The Studebaker Dictator replaced the Standard Six in 1928 as the brand?s entry level sedan. It was offered in a myriad of configurations and was said to be named because it ?dictated the standard? for all automobiles in its price category. The car got continuously bigger and better and by the early 30s, it was a very attractive alternative to the iconic early Fords.
